Calhoun, GA (January 30, 2022) – On Saturday afternoon, January 29, a rollover accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Calhoun.
According to Gordon County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of US-41 and East Line Street. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they both entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to forcefully collide with each other. One of the vehicles immediately overturned, which led to extensive damages.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims involved in the accident sustained severe injuries. The injured victims were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection following the collision until police were able to fully clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time. Police will update with more information as it becomes available.
